DESCRIPTION:Dear Colleagues\n\nThe Swedish Society of Clinical Cytology (SF
 KC) has been honoured by the European Federation of Cytology Societies (EF
 CS) with the privilege of hosting the 42nd European Congress of Cytology. 
 The Congress will be held in Malmö\, Sweden\, from 16-19th of June 2019.\
 n\nMalmö is Sweden’s third-largest city joined to Copenhagen in Denmark
  by the Öresund Bridge. With the Öresund Bridge\, the motorway and railw
 ay link\, it takes only 35 minutes by train from Malmö city center to the
  center of Copenhagen\, Denmark\, and 22 minutes to busy international Cop
 enhagen Airport. The venue of the 42nd ECC\, Malmömässan\, is strategica
 lly located in Hyllie\, the first train stop in Sweden on the way from the
  Copenhagen Airport to Malmö City and with excellent access to and from a
 ny part of the City.\n\nThe scientific program will address certain areas 
 of cytopathology\, both traditional as well as challenging innovative aspe
 cts such as cervical cancer screening programs\, HPV assessment\, automati
 on\, image analysis\, new advances in molecular techniques and targeted th
 erapies\, and its application to cytology. At a practical level it will in
 clude conferences\, symposia\, microscopic and non-microscopic workshops\,
  practical and virtual slide seminars and poster presentations dedicated t
 o morphological\, clinical\, technical and formative aspects in cytopathol
 ogy and cytotechnology. New disease classifications\, reporting guidelines
  and quality assurance will also be discussed. The program will include se
 veral sessions especially addressed to residents/fellows and cytotechnolog
 ists.\n\nWe look forward to meeting you in Malmö\, and to enjoy together
