DESCRIPTION:Dear Colleagues\,\n\nThe 26th Congress of the European Psychiat
 ric Association (EPA)\, the largest international association of psychiatr
 ists in Europe\, will take place 3-6 March 2018 at the prestigious Nice Ac
 ropolis Convention Centre located in the city of Nice\, the dynamic\, cosm
 opolitan\, unofficial capital of the Côte d'Azur.\n\nThe theme of the Con
 gress will be "Mental Health - Integrate\, Innovate\, Individualise".\n\nI
 ntegrate emphasises the need to include mental health in both health and s
 ocial policies\; promote the integration of different approaches to mental
  health care and research\; integrate research and mental health services 
 focusing on different life epochs.\n\nInnovate emphasises the importance o
 f identifying priorities for mental health care and research\; disseminati
 ng and promoting translation into standard practices of new successful pre
 vention and intervention programmes\; developing e-mental health programme
 s to improve service delivery and communication with users\, and overcome 
 spatial and linguistic barriers.\n\nIndividualise emphasises the current v
 iew of mental health care and research as person-centred by matching thera
 peutic interventions with individual's characteristics\, values and prefer
 ences.\n\nA special focus of the Congress will be the integration of new t
 echnologies and research findings into person-centred approaches to preven
 tion\, care and training\, at a time in which difficult challenges\, such 
 as displacement\, war\, terrorism and economic constraints\, require new a
 nswers.\n\nThe Congress will bring together expert clinicians\, researcher
 s and leaders of stakeholder organizations in the field of mental health\,
  offering an outstanding set of Plenary and State of the Art Lectures\, Ed
 ucational Courses\, Symposia\, Workshops\, informal meetings with experts 
 and sessions designed by and for early career psychiatrists.\n\nWe are con
 fident that\, like every year\, the Congress will represent for all partic
 ipants an unforgettable personal and professional experience\, and we look
