DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to invite you to Belgrade and Serbia for the 6
 5th Congress of the ESCVS.\n\nJust 40 years ago\, Belgrade was the host of
  the 25th annual congress of the ESCVS\, the oldest society in Europe in t
 he cardiac and vascular surgical field. Belgrade is the capital of Serbia 
 and one of the biggest cities in this part of Europe well known for its tr
 adition\, cultural and social resources thus becoming increasingly popular
  touristic destination in the recent period. Charm\, night life and hospit
 ality of inhabitants are usually outlined by foreign visitors.\n\nAs your 
 hosts\, we will provide you with interesting scientific program enrichedwi
 th educational workshops\, scientific lectures related to both clinical pr
 oblems and scientific topics. Some of the most controversial themes will b
 e presented through “pro et contra” sessions by some of the most exper
 ienced physicians from the field\, respecting new technologies and innovat
 ive therapies while not forgetting conventional open cardiac and vascular 
 surgery. Besides educational workshops\, young surgeons will be able to co
 mpete for the “best young cardiac/vascular surgeon” prize based on the
 ir scientific work. In the name of the fruitful cooperation with other spe
 cialties\, different joint sessions will be organized. Collaborators in AC
 ST 2 study will endow with interesting lectures and updates from the field
  of the treatment of asymptomatic carotid disease. Serbian Society for Hea
 rt Failure and Working group for pacemaker of the Serbian Society for Card
 iology will present their most interesting controversies. Different social
  and cultural activities will be provided to all visitors of our meeting.\
 n\nThe congress venue will be located at the Crown Plaza hotel\, convenien
 t for business and pleasure alike\, located in midst of the central busine
 ss district just a short drive away from Old Town and shopping area.\n\nWe
  hope that you will find the 65th Congress of the ESCVS in Belgrade an unf
