DESCRIPTION:Dear friends and colleagues\,\n\nThe European Society of Cardio
 Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (ESCVS) is the oldest society of both ca
 rdiac and vascular surgeons and exists for more than 60 years. The ESCVS h
 as proofed to be a unique society joining cardiac and vascular surgeons in
  their quest for improvement\, innovation and collaboration. This interdis
 ciplinary approach is what makes the ESCVS stand out.\n\nThe annual spring
  meeting of 2019 will take place in the city of Groningen\, the Netherland
 s. The city has a rich history in combination with a large university resu
 lts in a charming\, picturesque city with a busy vibrant nightlife. Gronin
 gen holds a large reputation in international collaboration and education.
  Over 50\,000 students are registered at the Hanze University of Applied S
 ciences and the University of Groningen. Students from home and abroad can
  choose from over seventy studies in almost any field. Groningen State Uni
 versity founded in 1614 is the third university in the Netherlands. We are
  positive you will find it to be the ideal environment for our spring meet
 ing.\n\nDuring four days cardiac and vascular surgeons\, but also cardiolo
 gists\, angiologists\, interventional radiologists\, perfusion and medical
  technicians will be able to get up to date state of the art lectures from
  outstanding renowned experts in the field. Well established scientists as
  well as young researchers will be able to present their work. Education a
 nd training are of special interest. There will be several opportunities t
 o participate in interactive sessions and hands-on workshops. Altogether w
 e hope to welcome 700-1000 participants in Groningen for the annual meetin
 g of the ESCVS.\n\nThe annual spring meeting of the ESCVS is the stage for
  new initiatives\, promote new therapies\, educate physicians and medical 
 technicians. On behalf of the local organizing committee we hope to welcom
