DESCRIPTION:Dear colleagues\,\n\nOn behalf of the Netherlands Society for C
 linical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN)\, we would like to invite you to 
 the 39th ESPEN Congress 2017\, which will be held for the 3rd time in The 
 Netherlands.\n\nAfter the congresses in Maastricht (1981) and Amsterdam (1
 997) the Dutch society would like to welcome all ESPEN members to the Worl
 d Forum in the Hague\, our beautiful governmental and international city o
 f peace and justice at the seaside.\n\nThe Hague is a renowned city with m
 any faces\, home to numerous cultures. Once merely a country house near a 
 pond\, The Hague has developed its international character and importance 
 like a neverending story to which a little bit of history is added every d
 ay.\n\nMeet the Dutch and their innovations in healthy nutrition. The larg
 est greenhouse horticulture in the world - the birthplace of healthy food 
 - is literally in the backyard of The Hague. First\, we will organize a on
 e-day Healthy Food Congress in collaboration with our Fruit &amp\; Vegetab
 le partners on Friday September 8th\, after which the ESPEN congress will 
 be launched the next day.\n\nIn close collaboration with the ESPEN Committ
 ee Members\, we have developed an attractive program that aims to be a lan
 dmark in ESPEN’s continuing effort to improve Nutritional Care and -Educ
 ation. For the first time there will be 5 parallel sessions run along 4 
 ‘tracks’ throughout the program focusing on topics in the acute\, chro
 nic\, pediatrics and geriatrics settings.\n\nWe are convinced that the pro
 gramme of ESPEN 2017 offers a great opportunity for physicians\, dietitian
 s\, pharmacists\, nutritionists\, scientists and nurses involved in the fi
 eld of nutrition and metabolism to meet and discuss cutting edge science i
 n an informal atmosphere\, strengthening old and sparking new collaboratio
 ns.\n\nWe sincerely hope to meet you in The Hague in 2017!\n\n[heading cen
