DESCRIPTION:The International Plasma Fractionation Association (IPFA) and t
 he Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI) are pleased to announce the 23rd annual Int
 ernational Workshop on “Surveillance and Screening of Blood Borne Pathog
 ens”. The Workshop will be held in Lisbon on 25-26 May 2016 at the Lisbo
 n Marriott Hotel and will be hosted by the Instituto Português do Sangue 
 e da Transplantação (IPST).\n\nBlood Borne Pathogens: Basics and Dilemma
 s\nThis 23rd International Workshop will address the detection\, epidemiol
 ogy\, costs and regulation of new and old agents\, that threaten the safet
 y of blood components and plasma derivatives. The scientific programme wil
 l maintain valuable and important elements of the previous Workshops\, inc
 luding open and inclusive discussion between all stakeholders and will als
 o seek to attract relevant contributions from researchers and colleagues b
 eyond the immediate field of transfusion. Each session of the programme wi
 ll provide in-depth\, up to date coverage by recognised experts including 
 issues such as ethics and costs of blood safety.\n\n[heading centered="no"
  margin_bottom="no"]Registracija[/heading]\n\nThe registration fee is EURO
  895 and includes full attendance of the Workshop\, lunch on both days\, a
  social dinner and access to the on-line proceedings\, post event.  We of
 fer a preferential rate for delegates from low and medium HDI countries of
  EURO 195.\n\nIPFA members and their staff can take advantage of a special
