DESCRIPTION:Dear Colleagues\,\n\nIt is our pleasure to invite you to partic
 ipate in the 6th International Conference on Prehypertension\, Hypertensio
 n\, Metabolic Disorders and Cardiovascular Disease\, which will take place
  in Vilnius\, Lithuania from 28 February – 3 March\, 2019.\n\nPrehyperte
 nsion is a part of the continuum from normotension to hypertension it is a
  part of a dynamic process of stiffening and aging of the arteries and of 
 the heart with its consequences. Patients in the prehypertensive range wil
 l become finally hypertensive. Diseased arteries will not only participate
  in propagation of end organ damage but will enhance the progression of ad
 ditional damage in the arteries and the heart. Understanding the risk of b
 orderline conditions in the metabolic syndrome will enable us to understan
 d the nature of end organ damage and will create a possibility of better p
 revention of this continuous process.\n\nHypertension\, Diabetes\, Dyslipi
 demia and Obesity are considered as major risk factors for Atherosclerosis
  of cerebral\, coronary and peripheral arteries. This process causes Devel
 opment of Ischemic heart disease\, obstruction to cerebral flow and PVD. C
 lustering of these risk factors is very common and their accumulation caus
 es faster propagation of end organ damage and cerebrovascular events. The 
 diagnosis of risk factors\, especially when they are clustered\, justify m
 ultidisciplinary aggressive therapeutic approach which should be started a
 s soon as possible with the diagnosis.\n\nThe association of multiple CV r
 isk factors enhances rate of progression of end organ damage and affects m
 orbidity and mortality. The presence of multiple risk factors changes the 
 prognosis of the patients and should affect our therapeutic approach- an a
 rea with insufficient information and guidelines.\n\nSystolic blood pressu
 re (BP) of less than 140 mm Hg and diastolic BP of less than 90 mm Hg were
  for years considered as normal. Mounting evidence suggest that BP in the 
 high reference range is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascula
 r disease. The ESH report of 2006 defined it as “high normal” and the 
 seventh report of the Join National Committee on the Prevention\, Detectio
 n\, Evaluation and Treatment of High Blood Pressure defined a new BP categ
 ory “Prehypertension” for systolic and diastolic BP: 120 to 139 mm Hg 
 and 85 to 89 mm Hg\, respectively. This new category is a continuum to hyp
 ertension and is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.\n\nIn most deve
 loping countries and in the urban areas of many countries\, one in five to
  one in three adults fall in the category of prehypertension. Recently pub
 lished ACC/AHA guidelines (2017) suggested change in the threshold levels 
 to much lower levels which were considered normal previously. This change 
 caused again scientific discussion. Recommendation and guidelines in the f
 ield have substantial public health importance and enormous economic conse
 quences.\n\nThe Conference will aim to deal with all aspects related to ea
 rly diagnosis\, including innovative technologies and treatments as well a
 s discussion of target organ damage\, cardiac\, renal\, neurological and p
 eripheral arteries. The conference will bring together professionals from 
 the fields of Hypertension\, Cardiology\, Nephrology\, Endocrinology\, Int
 ernal Medicine and more.\n\nWe hope that you will join us for what promise
