Fac tors such as geopolitics\, migration\, global warming\, technology\, resea rch\, education\, and labor market forces\, all impact the healthcare syst em and in turn our specialty. The #WFPICCS20 theme ‘Critical Care Withou t Borders: Intensive Caring Everywhere’ is a shout-out to our shrinking world in which we find ourselves increasingly interconnected. While global ization poses challenges\, these are far outweighed by opportunities – o ur ability to collaborate\, share knowledge and experiences\, and our stro ng commitment to providing the best treatment and care to children and the ir families\, no matter where they live.\n\nIn Mexico City we will shine t he spotlight on the hot topics of the day\, address challenges while highl ighting possible solutions. All this and more from highly skilled and pass ionate #PEM &\; #PedsICU community members in an international and mult idisciplinary environment.\n\nMexico City\, the capital of Mexico\, is a b ooming metropolis with cosmopolitan restaurants\, world-class museums and built directly on top of what was once the capital of the Aztec Empire.
