DESCRIPTION:Dear Congress Participants and Friends\,\n\nThe French League a
 gainst cancer and the Alliance of African &amp\; Mediterranean French Spea
 king Leagues Against Cancer (ALIAM) are delighted to host the 2016 World C
 ancer Congress which will take place from the 1st to the 3rd November 2016
  at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.\n\nThis is the latest in a long and 
 distinguished line of such international conferences to be held in great c
 ities\, and we look forward to welcoming more than 3’000 global cancer a
 nd health experts in the City of Lights. Paris is steeped in political\, a
 rtistic\, scientific and medical history\, and as such is the most visited
  city in the world.\n\nBuilding on the impressive success of the 2014 Cong
 ress in Melbourne and its 120 sessions\, 350 speakers\, 48 exhibitors and 
 2\, 1 billion of opportunities to see\, hear and read about the event\, ou
 r goal is to place the Paris Congress at the forefront of discovery\, inno
 vation and development of knowledge for the prevention and treatment of ca
 ncer.\n\nWe will work with UICC and the Local Host Committee (LHC)\, inclu
 ding various French\, European and African bodies involved in the control 
 of cancer\, to further strengthen the global cancer community ability to c
 onnect\, exchange new ideas and strategies for implementing cancer science
 \, and of course to promote equity in access to cancer care in lower-middl
 e income countries.\n\nThe LHC and the Programme Committee are fully commi
 tted to design a stimulating and attractive programme over the three days\
