CiTH 2016

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Congress on Controversies in Thrombosis and Hemostasis (CiTH) will be held in collaboration with the Russian Scientific Society of Clinical Hemostasiology in Moscow, Russia, October 20-22, 2016.

The 3rd edition of this ‘concept congress’ will continue to deal with controversial issues in the field, in the format of debates and discussions allowing ample time for speaker-participant interaction. By attending the congress participants will have the opportunity to attend two congresses in one, as the 2016 CiTH Congress will be held jointly with the 8th Russian Conference on Clinical Hemostasis and Hemorheology (www.cith2016.ru/en). All sessions will be simultaneously translated from/to Russian and English.

Congresses are becoming more and more specialized and monothematic, allowing limited time to fully discuss clinical meaning and the line between Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) and working theories or ideas that are premature to implement into practice. CiTH addresses this need by facilitating effective debate on unresolved clinical and therapeutic dilemmas, supported by expert opinions resulting in agreement on timely issues.

The ability to discuss controversial topics with emphasis on clinical solutions in cases where no agreed-upon answers exist provides clinicians with an insight and a take-home message that ameliorates treatment in the most difficult situations.

We would like to invite you to join us in shaping a provocative program, and look forward to welcoming you to the exciting city of Moscow.

Sincerely,

Congress Chairpersons
David Varon
Gili Kenet
Pier M. Mannucci
