Dear friends and colleagues,
The European Society of CardioVascular and Endovascular Surgery (ESCVS) is the oldest society of both cardiac and vascular surgeons and exists for more than 60 years. The ESCVS has proofed to be a unique society joining cardiac and vascular surgeons in their quest for improvement, innovation and collaboration. This interdisciplinary approach is what makes the ESCVS stand out.
The annual spring meeting of 2019 will take place in the city of Groningen, the Netherlands. The city has a rich history in combination with a large university results in a charming, picturesque city with a busy vibrant nightlife. Groningen holds a large reputation in international collaboration and education. Over 50,000 students are registered at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and the University of Groningen. Students from home and abroad can choose from over seventy studies in almost any field. Groningen State University founded in 1614 is the third university in the Netherlands. We are positive you will find it to be the ideal environment for our spring meeting.
During four days cardiac and vascular surgeons, but also cardiologists, angiologists, interventional radiologists, perfusion and medical technicians will be able to get up to date state of the art lectures from outstanding renowned experts in the field. Well established scientists as well as young researchers will be able to present their work. Education and training are of special interest. There will be several opportunities to participate in interactive sessions and hands-on workshops. Altogether we hope to welcome 700-1000 participants in Groningen for the annual meeting of the ESCVS.
The annual spring meeting of the ESCVS is the stage for new initiatives, promote new therapies, educate physicians and medical technicians. On behalf of the local organizing committee we hope to welcome you in Groningen. We are looking forward to an exciting and interesting meeting.
