Acute catheter-based stroke interventions have been proven to be superior to systemic lysis in large vessel occlusions in a number of randomized trials. With a number needed to treat (NNT) of only 2, acute stroke interventions are extremely efficient. Up to 10% of acute strokes can and should be treated with catheter techniques.
Please join us at ICCA STROKE, March 20 – 21, 2020 in Frankfurt, Germany to see how to remove clots from the brain and make a real difference in the life of your patients. We believe there is no other catheter intervention you can perform with such a huge impact!
During this 2-day course you will get an overview on all aspects of this treatment modality. Clinical studies will be covered, and we will also demonstrate how to perform the procedure step by step during simulator trainings and how to prevent and manage complications. Live case transmissions are a core of this course and will allow direct attendee-operator interaction to maximize the learning experience.
Why you should attend? ICCA Stroke 2020 will give you access to interdisciplinary and interactive lectures from leading experts in the field, recorded and live cases, step by step presentations, debates and hands-on simulator training workshops, all the while offering you plenty of opportunities to rub shoulders with key opinion leaders in the field of stroke treatment. You will be guided through the different aspects of stroke treatment, from patient selection, imaging and indication to how to do it, post-procedural care as well as avoiding and managing complications.
Our goal is to maximize interaction and debate between all our participants within a friendly and personal atmosphere. Participants are actively encouraged to submit cases for presentation, ask questions share their ideas and experiences. ICCA Stroke 2020 will be an opportunity for you to learn the latest techniques, see the newest devices and meet the most experienced interventionists in the field.
Who should attend? The meeting is designed for interventionists from all fields specialising in acute stroke intervention, vascular surgeons, neurologists and stroke physicians, anesthetists and anyone involved in endovascular stroke treatment, pre- and postprocedural care, including nurses, technicians and industry representatives.
ICCA Stroke meetings are facilitated by the World Federation for Interventional Stroke Treatments – WIST with the aim to ensure that acute catheter-based stroke intervention procedures are only performed by well-trained doctors. Congress attendees will be accredited CME points and attendance to the meeting provides the foundation for further training in dedicated stroke centers.
Please join us in Frankfurt for what we are confident will be an enjoyable and interactive educational meeting.
We look forward to seeing you in Frankfurt!
